For over a quarter of a century Wells Local History Group has been catering for those interested in the history of Wells-next-the-Sea in Norfolk.

What we do

We have a programme of monthly talks between September and May (excluding January). The talks focus on Wells-next-the-Sea, North Norfolk and Norfolk in general. All talks take place in the Kiln Room of Wells Maltings.

Our next talk

Samuel Pepys and His Hoard of Golden Guineas – Adrian Marsden

Adrian's talk will look at hoards in the seventeenth century and the circumstances which led Samuel Peyps to bury 3,000 guineas in his father's garden in the summer of 1667.
