A history of Wells through it’s buildings – Roger Arguile

September 3 @ 2:30 PM

Wells’ buildings are a puzzle. Local historian and author, Roger Arguile, takes us on a virtual tour around some of those often-overlooked local landmarks. Unlike Walsingham whose timber framed buildings are easy to date, Wells buildings are either brick or more usually flint.  The stories they tell require some detective work.  Documents can help with the search but often the buildings themselves give away their secrets. Some of them are much older than they look. But in any case, the talk should open our eyes a little as to what to look for in helping to tell the story of the town.
