History of Wells Local History Group

WLHG was started in 1997 following a WEA course in Wells on local history. From small beginnings we now have over a hundred members. These are split roughly 50/50 between those that live in Wells and the surrounding villages, and those that live all over the country plus Scotland and Wales.

Membership costs £10 for a single person and £15 for couples at the same address (these share a newsletter).

Benefits:

• A series of monthly talks from September to May (excluding January) at Wells Maltings – Free to members. Also available to non-members £5 at Maltings Box Office.
• Three 32-page newsletters each year delivered free to members. Also available locally to non-members at £3.50.
• Discounts on publications – books and DVDs published by WLHG.
